04/23/17 - Day 20- Chattanooga, TN to Bristol, TN - Cherokee National Forest
Day 20 - Chattanooga, TN to Bristol, TN - 224 miles
1323 cumulative miles

Don't let these pictures fool you, there was only about two hours of sunlight the whole time I stayed there. I rained the entire first day and night and most of the following day. It rained so much all the access roads had water running across them. The Nascar race taking place in town was rained out until Monday. I was also really cold, down to the 40s on the first night. I'm sure it's a much nicer place during normal summertime weather, but I didn't have much fun during this camping trip.
That said, when the clouds broke, the scenery was something to see.

I wasn't the only one staying at the campground, there was a nest of baby robins in the rafters of this pavilion

While slowly making my way east I decided to camp for a couple of days near the Virginia border in Bristol, TN. I stopped at a nice looking place tucked away in the hills called Cherokee Trails Campground & Stables.
