05/08/17 - Day 35 - Manhattan - Metropolitan Musuem
Made my first visit to this Met this day.

Located on the eastern border of Central Park, it's the largest museum in U.S. with over 2 million works. It so big I spend about three and half hours and only made it through half of the first floor and the rooftop. Started in the Ancient Egypt exhibition before moving on to early American and medieval weapons and armor.
Ancient Egypt

Yup, gold flip flop

The Book of the Dead, basically an instruction manual for the afterlife.

The "Weighing of the Heart" ritual, where the deceased was led by the god Anubis into the presence of Osiris for judgement

The Temple of Dendur

The American Wing

They had a few recreations of 19th century rooms on display.

Ancient Weapons and Armor

Finally, the rooftop garden

Will have to back to see the rest of it next week.
In the evening I made a trip out to Brooklyn to watch a friend compete in shuffleboard. It was an impressive victory

And the teams had a few clever names
