05/11/17 - Day 38 - Manhattan - Chelsea Market and Washington Square Park
Another quick update. Spent a little time in Greenwich Village visiting the Chelsea market and Washington Square park.

Chelsea Market isn't what I expected. For some reason I assumed it was going to an open air market with lots of independent vendors. Instead it's an indoor shopping mall with restaurants, food markets, gift shops, etc. The upper floors include offices and television production for a few networks (Food Network, Oxygen, others). The place had some interesting interior décor.

I did find a nice Mother's Day gift but didn't stick around too long after getting that. One the way to meet up with a friend I cut through Washington Square Park.

Very busy park. My most memorable moment was observing a guy wandering somewhat aimlessly, bemoaning the fact that no one he knew had any weed (and would presumably give him some).
