05/20/17 - Day 47 - Brooklyn - Brooklyn Brewery Tour
Quick update - my friend and I took a trip to Williamsburg to checkout the Brooklyn Brewery.

Founded in 1988, their beer can be found in most US states and several countries. They opened the Williamsburg facility 1996 which serves as their specialty brewing site. The mass market brewing occurs at a larger facility in Utica, NY. They actually announced last year that they're going to have to relocate as the current landlord put the building up for sale and won't renew their lease. I don't envy them having to relocate all that equipment. The tasting room prices weren't bad for NYC, $5 per glass. I sampled a couple new varieties and an old favorite while my friend ordered a pepper infused stout. It tasted like a chocolate porter with sriracha peppers; better than you might expect.
The brewery and tasting room is open to the public on the weekends. We got there in time for one of the last tours of that afternoon. It was brief as the facility is all located within the one warehouse, but entertaining.
