08/09/17 - Day 128 - Denver, CO - Miranda Lambert concert @ Red Rocks

I learned that my Denver visit coincided with country music show at Red Rocks featuring Miranda Lambert with the Randy Rodgers Band.  I'd seen Miranda a few times previously when she was opening for Kenny Chesney, but I'd never seen her headline a show.  Coupled with the fact that I'd never seen a show at Red Rocks, it seemed like the perfect opportunity.

The seating is tiered general admission with the line of demarcation somewhere near row 50.  The venue only holds about 10,000 people, but they're all in a relatively narrow section and the rows are wide, so even though I was near the front of my section I was still pretty far from the stage.  The acoustics are quite good and whoever set up the sound did a nice job so I had no problem hearing the show clearly.  Miranda was great.  She told the crowd this was her first visit to Red Rocks in almost 10 years and the first time she was headlining it, so it was a special show for her as well.

I was familiar with most of the set list, with Heart Like Mine, Baggage Claim, We Should be Friends, White Liar, and Gunpowder and Lead standing out for me. A couple video clips are included below.  This was one of the best shows I've ever seen and definitely the best one I've seen so far on this trip.
